Costume for Aida is a drawing in tempera and watercolor on brownish paper realized in 1920 ca. by an Anonymous Italian artist of the early 20th Century. In very good condition. The artwork represents a standing woman through colorful characteristics Egyptian cloth in a harmonious manner through deft strokes depicted precisely. The colors are congruous and applied by mastery. Aida is a timeless story of love and betrayal against the backdrop of war. which is set in ancient Egypt. The story is a roller coaster of emotions told through Verdi's powerful music. When he is chosen to wage war with Ethiopia, we follow Aida's conflict of love for both Radames and her country.
